New boy Christian Pulisic and starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi will be guaranteed playing time once Eden Hazard completes his £130m move to Real Madrid next week.
But fellow youngsters Reece James, Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount will also be given a chance to impress after returning from loan spells.
And former misfits Michy Batshuayi and Kurt Zouma, who are both in their mid-twenties, could also be welcomed back into the squad.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport yesterday confirmed Chelsea have appealed against a two-window ban for breaking rules governing the signing of young players.
But it was also revealed that the club have NOT made a formal request to have that sanction frozen while CAS hears the appeal.
Chelsea still hope to have the punishment reduced or revoked altogether but have no idea how long the court will take to reach a verdict.
And it is understood there are even fears the ban could be extended if they attempt to have it delayed, though this would be a break from precedent.
With Maurizio Sarri set to join Juventus once a £5m compensation fee is agreed, Chelsea’s next manager will not be able to make any signings this summer.
The Londoners retain the right to make a request to freeze, but the club are clearly gearing up to begin serving their punishment this summer.
Meanwhile, outgoing Blues star Hazard’s Belgium team-mate Kevin De Bruyne says the winger “deserves” his big-money move, which could double his salary.
The Manchester City star said: “If you do well and these teams come for you, you have earned the right to play there. I think he earned his transfer.”
