Boost for Conte as Chelsea agree deal with Magical midfielder

With only a few weeks left before the opening of the January transfer window, Chelsea have moved to secure the future of one of the brightest prospects at the club.

Antonio Conte’s own future has been wrapped with speculation of uncertainty at times but the Blues appear to be doing their best to retain the services of valuable players.

Rumours have linked a host of important Chelsea stars with a move away from the club but Roman Abramovich’s level of ambition will prove decisive in the end.

Thus, Chelsea announced on Friday that Charly Musonda had signed a new contract which would keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2022 at least.

The Belgian youngster had emerged as a target for Premier League rivals Arsenal after complaining about his lack of chances under the current Blues manager.

But Musonda has now been convinced by the club to agree a new deal and the Belgian has expressed his joy after signing a contract extension.

“I am very happy and very proud. I came here very young and am very happy to continue my journey here.” Musonda said

“I love this club so it’s a great moment for me and my family. Now I want to establish myself and progress into the team and stay here permanently.”

“We are very happy Charly has committed his future to the club,” Club director Marina Granovskaia added

“He is an exciting talent who we believe can develop into an important first-team player and we hope he will be a part of Chelsea’s successes for a long time to come.”
