The Adamawa state Commissioner for Information, Ahmad Sajoh, has decried the near lack of visibility of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, among Nigerians, noting that Nigerians heard and saw more of the Peoples Democratic Party when it held sway at the national level.
Addressing newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday, he noted that when the PDP was in power, leadership meetings were regular, either in the Aso Presidential Villa or at the then ruling party’s national secretariat, with full media coverage but lamented that the case is different in APC.
The commissioner therefore enjoined the national leadership of the ruling party to do more to regain the confidence of Nigerians.
His words: “The APC government at the federal level and even at the level in other states can do a lot more to win the confidence of the populace and I want to say this with emphasis that APC’s visibility is not good enough.
“Even when the PDP was in power, they used to call National Executive Council, NEC, meetings in the Villa in the glare of the media; they used to hold National Executive Council meetings at their headquarters, issue communiqué, the Publicity Secretary has what to tell people but in APC, the case is different.”
