Enough of the Criticism,President Buhari is making Giant Strides...........by Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor

I have been a critic of Gen Mohammadu Buhari (rtd) for a while now,even before he became President but today,I want to sincerely apologize to everyone of you on behalf of those who have called President Buhari a Messiah either erroneously or out of ignorance or mere praise singing by those who are simply career sycophants milling around the President.


In the spirit of love and brotherlyness,take it from me, President Buhari is simply an under-hyped con man,a perfect example of a milk-man,massaging the breasts of the Cow(Nigeria)just to milk her but pretending to be saving her from other milk men but actually having no regard really for how well she'll be able to produce more milk to the generality of the people.


He's not different from some of those who have come before him.This post is not just to criticize him but let's look at some shocking news.


At the backdrop of these depressing realities,the Federal government under Buhari's watch proposes another utterly ridiculous budget for a second year running even after Nigerians have wailed that the 2016 budget had no real impact in their lives.


#President Buhari wants to spend N42billion almost half of Ekiti States entire budget on the State house expenses alone in 2017.


#Their government is planning to spend N100million on cutlery and kitchen utensils and N63million on Cooking gas in 2017.Do kitchen utensils expire every year?

#While the "Wasteful" previous government spent N5million to drain the State house septic tank in 2015,Buhari wants to spend a whooping N53million for same purpose in 2017.


#Meanwhile,A paltry 6% of the budget is allocated to Education a far cry from the 26% recommended by UNESCO.and yet we want to improve education in Nigeria,no wonder the 500,000 willie willie teachers have been employed and our primary school kids have McDonalds burger and special Nasco biscuit served daily.


#3.9billion is to be spent on Aso rock clinic,this figure like last year is more than the entire budget for the 17 Federal government teaching hospitals in Nigeria combined.I can bet that we'll still have him fly to London for medical checks just because his maintained UK based doctors since 1978.


President Buhari was sold to Nigerians as a super man who knew what to do and how to do it but this is obviously not the Buhari we envisaged.We must continue to speak up and speak out against the madness of the 2017 proposed budget.
