BREAKING: Alhaji Waziri Imam; Borno Commissioner Of Environment Is Dead

The Commissioner of Environment in Borno State, Alhaji Waziri Imam is dead.. He died at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital shortly after he was admitted from an unknown ailment.

A family member confirmed to Daily Correspondents reporter in Maiduguri this morning. “We had no premonition that this would be his final moment on earth, as he took himself to the hospital and he never returned,” the family member said.

This paper learnt that he died at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital shortly after he was admitted from an unknown ailment.

As at the time of this report, friends and sympathizers are seen trooping to his house located at the back of Maiduguri Government House.

Until his death he was a younger brother to Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, a one time Presidential Liaison Officer to the Senate in the fourth Republic and two time People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Governor of Borno State in 2003 and 2007.

The Borno state government is yet to issue a statement.
