Michael Schumacher told his manager that he wanted to disappear out of the public eye just months before his tragic skiing accident.


Schumacher, who was seriously injured during a skiing accident in France in December 2013, has been receiving constant medical care away from the public eye after suffering severe head injuries.
More than two years have passed since the accident and 47-year-old Schumacher is still fighting for his life in intensive care, news of his condition rarely leaked to the public.


His manager, Sabine Kehm, who has been the one person to offer the rarest of updates over the years, has revealed that Schumacher old her he wanted to disappear from public eye in a meeting before his injury.


‘In general the media have never reported on Michael and Corinna’s private live. When he was in Switzerland, for example, it was clear he was a private individual,’ she said speaking at a meeting of 90 media professionals.


‘Once in a long discussion Michael said to me: ‘You don’t need to call me for the next year, I’m disappearing.’


‘I think it was his secret dream to be able to do that some day. That’s why now I still want to protect his wishes in that I don’t let anything get out.’
