Man uses hashtag to 'demand money from bank tellers', gets #Arrested

Because of a man’s penchant for ending his messages with hashtags, police actually dubbed the spate of robberies he was suspected of committing the ‘Hashtag String’.
Each message to bank tellers demanding money ended with phrases like ‘#nopolice’ and ‘#becarefull.’ [sic]
That ended on Thursday, when the man police were looking for got arrested after accidentally parking the suspected getaway car next to a detective working the case.

Leroy Earl-Morris Daley, 45, faces charges for nine robberies committed in Prince George’s and Montgomery, Maryland, that date back to September, police said.

Four of those nine robberies came one after the other on Thursday.

‘This is the first time that we know of that hashtags were used to rob a bank,’ said Prince George’s County Police spokeswoman Julie Parker.
