ICT To Be Made compulsory in primary schools-FG

Stakeholders in information and communications technology (ICT) sectors have called for a mandatory ICT education at the primary school level.

They also want the Federal Government to review the ICT education curriculum to meet current global trends.

These are contained in a communiqué issued at the end of a retreat by the Ministry of Communication and ICT stakeholders in the country.



The participants also want FG to implement fully the National Broadband plan as foundation for infrastructure development.

In his keynote address titled, Continuing Innovation and Innovating Continuity Creating a Smart Digital Nigeria, the Minister of Communications, Barr. Adebayo Shittu harped on the need to continue with the policy of liberalisation which has propelled growth in the ICT sector.
