Suspect Nabbed By Police In Connection With Friday Attack In Bauchi

Bauchi State police have reportedly nabbed the suspect in connection with the yesterday’s attacks at the People’s Hotel at Bayangari area.

The State Police Commissioner Malam Lawal Shehu has officially made this known today, NAN reports.


Some gunmen wearing military uniforms launched the attack on the hotel premises Friday evening. He said as a result of shooting and bombing 11 people were killed and 28 injured. Meanwhile the unconfirmed reports say at lest 13 people died and 34 more sustained injuries.

Shehu urged country residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious happenings in their immediate surroundings.

He also pointed out:

"The general public should pay special attention to persons and objects, particularly at motor parks, market places, schools, places of worships, shopping malls, eateries and hotels."
